September Book of the Month: Llama Llama Misses Momma

SEPTEMBER 2017
Llama Llama Misses Mama by Anna Dewdney
This story starts when Mama Llama takes little Llama to his first day of preschool.  He is unsure of this new place, kids, and teacher so he is very shy and misses his mom.  As the day goes on his classmates encourage him to join them in learning and playing.  He is not sure if his mom will be back but he starts to have some fun. Then, at the end of the day, his Mama comes back to pick him up.  He discovers that he can love his Mama and school too!  Great book to help children with serpration anxiety.
Make your own popsicle puppets with these free printables.  You can make them yourself to pair with the story, or turn it into a craft and have the kiddos color and print their own!  The free printable is found at Making Learning Fun's website in color and black and white.  Just print, and glue on popsicle sticks for a quick and easy craft.
Don't have the book?  Watch it instead.
Check out the BOOK OF THE MONTH from months past.
