January Book of the Month: Dragons Love Tacos

Dragons Love Tacos
By Adam Rubin
Illustrated by Daniel Salmieri

My little guy got this book for Christmas and it quickly became a bedtime favorite. Who doesn't like tacos? It's no surprise that Dragons like them too. Big tacos, chicken tacos, beef tacos all stacked with fresh toppings. But don't forget to skip the spicy salsa or else you will be in some hot trouble! This adorably illustrated book is a fun read for all ages.  Children will love the silly premise and want to have a Taco party of there own!

Lets make some Tacos!
This creative craft was found at Glued to My Crafts blog.  With a few inexpensive materials, kids will love building their own paper plate taco!

Don't forget the fire breathing Dragon!
This idea was found on a Sturdy for Common Things website and it couldn't be more perfect to pair up with Dragons Love Tacos book!  Kids blow on the one end to create crepe paper flames.

A Taco lovers dream come true...
There is no need for our CCCB families to get a great taco recipe from us, as many of our wonderful Mexican families can teach us a thing or two of making them.  So, how about making taco dessert!  I guarantee these will be a hit with your little ones and fun alternative to Taco Tuesday!  Since we are in the middle of winter, why not warm up to some Apple Pie Tacos!  Find the recipe at www.spendwithpennies.com.
