Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492. We all remember that little rhyme and his three ships, La Niña, Santa Marie, and La Pinta. In honor of Columbus day next Monday we want to share this ocean and boat Columbus Day snack. We found a few versions of this on Pinterest but don't really know who the originator of this creative treat was, so we are sharing our favorite from www.gourmetmomonthego.com.
The best part? It's healthy and super easy to make. Just make blue Jello in clear cups, slice up orange boats, and use a tooth pick and triangle scrap paper for the sail. You can also print flags, cut and add to complete the sailboat. Give your kids a mini history lesson along with their snack!
Gourmet Mom on-the-Go was kind enough to make and share these tiny free printable flags. |
