Book of the Month: Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss

JUNE 2017
Dr. Seuss's Bartholomew and the Oobleck is a story about a king who is not too impressed with normal weather like rain or snow so he has a magician create something new. Oobleck plagues the kingdom but the only way to solve this problem is for the king to take responsibility for his actions.

This story can bring some messy fun!  It's a perfect read paired up with Ooblek-making activity to enjoy outdoors (to keep the mess to a minimum). We guarantee your kids will love it!

Fidget spinners, bottle flipping and slime making are this year's craze in the world of elementary school kids. This may not be the case if you have a preschooler or younger but we still want to explore our favorite of the three which would be slime making! Mixing this gooey concoction is a favorite in my kitchen (and kitchens across America). There are many formulas to pick from but we like Oobleck, which is a liquid that turns solid with touch. Children enjoy making and playing with this stuff and it goes with our book choice of the month.
