The Children's Center has the following positions opening available.



Responsibilities include implementing the Head Start program’s educational approach within the home environment.  Additional responsibilities include collaborating with families in assessing their strengths and needs as well as providing Head Start support services to promote healthy families and program success for preschool children.


·         Associates degree in Early Childhood, or Home Visiting CDA
·         Insured vehicle with valid driver’s license (required)
·         Computer skills (required)
·         Bilingual in English/Spanish (required)

Work as a member of a Head Start team to partner with families to promote children’s healthy development and school readiness.  Responsibilities include advocating for Head Start families whose children are presently enrolled in the center-based program.  The Family Service Worker will also assist with the development of goal plans for participating families to promote self-sufficiency and work with families to achieve goal success.  Additional responsibilities include recruiting and enrolling children into the program.


·        Associates degree or credential in sociology, social work, human services or
related field (Minimum)
·        Computer skills required.
·        Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
·        Knowledge of Head Start preferred.

Head Start Teacher | Posted 7/17/19

Join the Head Start team to prepare preschool aged children for school success. The Teacher will work with the Education team to create and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum in the classroom. Responsibilities include providing quality educational opportunities and for the daily management of the classroom.   Additional responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans for daily learning activities, maintaining individual and classroom data for on-going assessment, evaluation and record keeping.  


  • BA in ECE or related field with equivalent to a major in ECE (preferred)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Computer skills (required)
  • Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD (a plus)
