A New Page

It has almost been one year since our Executive Director, Pat Makris, was diagnosed with cancer.  Many of us here at the Children's Center worked with Pat throughout the growth of the Center.  When she passed away, we vowed to continue her legacy to the communities of Cicero and Berwyn.  Now we are turning a new page in the history of The Children's Center.

We welcome Lurlean Chodora as the new Executive Director.  Lurlean is no stranger to the Children's Center.  She was one of the original employees when the Center opened in 1978.  During her years here, she has served as a teacher and then as the director of our Red Feather site.  Lurlean has a Bachelors Degree from National Louis University and many years of Early Childhood experience.  We wish her much success in her new role.
